Weight lost while eating less isn't only fat. Research suggests a meaningful share can be lean mass.

Why lean mass matters

Muscle supports everyday strength and balance. The goal isn't just a lower number; it's how you feel and move.

Protein: the daily priority

When appetite is low, protein is often the first thing squeezed out of meals. Anchoring each meal around a protein source helps close the gap.

Movement counts too

Nutrition works best alongside resistance-based movement. Even two short sessions a week help. It doesn't need to be intense; it needs to be consistent.
